Memorial Day

Memorial Day is a United States federal holiday observed on the last Monday of May (May 31, 2010). Formerly known as Decoration Day, it commemorates U.S. men and women who died while in the military service. First enacted to honor Union soldiers of the American Civil War (it is celebrated near the day of reunification after the civil war), it was expanded after World War I to include American casualties of any war or military action.

The Last Rodeo

Brooks & Dunn the Last Rodeo aired last night on CBS. This was a fabulous send off for Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn including not only music, but also heartfelt personal stories. Anyone watching, country music fan or not, had to enjoy singers George Strait, Keith Urban, Tim McGraw, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Reba McEntire and more. However, the tearjerker was Jennifer Hudson’s performance of “Believe”.
